Step Together connects individuals, families, and communities with appropriate local support programs that help those at risk, or are vulnerable to engaging with violent extremism. These early intervention programs work with individuals and families to address the challenge of violent extremism, by building on positive supports and resilience.
Programs are voluntary, confidential, and tailored to suit individual needs. The focus is on community safety, promotion of alternative wholistic solutions, and lasting change. These national programs do not challenge beliefs, but rather support people in making safer, healthier life choices and empowerment through education and awareness.
