The Tasmanian (TAS) Government’s Support and Intervention Program supports individuals who may be vulnerable to violent extremism.
The programs and services are not deradicalisation programs and do not directly attempt to alter the beliefs of an individual. They provide a range of tailored support services that address their vulnerabilities and help to build positive connections.
The Support and Intervention Program is a voluntary and confidential program that works through personalised support plans.
A team of experienced case managers and mental health professionals collaborates with other government and community services to help individuals build resilience, identity, and a sense of belonging.
